This course is focused on an analysis of the main principles and concepts related to financial reporting of companies. The four financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of equity, cash flow statement will be analysed. Students will also gain an overview of financial ratios. The course will also provide a deep overview into the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), selecting some for an in-depth insight

Strategic Management (ENG)

Strategy is how a company achieves its goals by deploying its scarce resources to gain a sustainable competitive advantage. Strategic management is that set of managerial decisions and actions that determines the long-run performance of a company, It usually includes both internal and external environmental scanning (as a part of strategic analysis), strategy formulation (strategic long-range planning), strategy implementation, and evaluation and control (measurement).

Business Strategy (ENG)

In this section, we will discuss the basic types of business – Product Leadership, Cost Leadership and Customer Intimacy, how they differ and possible combinations of these strategic directions. We will learn the methodology of creating a strategy from vision to implementation. At the same time, we will discuss the methodology of market analysis, competition, our position in the market and the development of strategic scenarios. Good strategy is not only about marketing and sales, but also includes imperatives how to develop new products, enter new markets, acquisitions and process innovations across the company
